GONE WITH THE WIND
Academy Dye Transfer Print with Four-Track Magoptical Sound

film courtesy of Steve Kraus

Better than 70mm by at least 35mm. The origin of this unusual print is not known. Gone With The Wind was re-issued with a pseudo-stereo Perspecta track and dye transfer prints in 1954. There may have been some magnetic prints made but they would not be magoptical. By process of elimination, this print must date back to the 1961 Civil War Centennial re-issue, though stereophonic sound was not part of the national advertising. Subsequent re-issues were printed by Metrocolor.
