The real star of the film, not just as advertised in Latin countries, was Mario Moreno Reyes, AKA Cantinflas. He is seen here standing beside one of Mr. Todd's massive 128 degree "bugeye" lenses. While the bugeye didn't get much of a workout in the first Todd-AO production, Oklahoma!, Todd saw to it that it was a major player in the photography of Around the World in 80 Days. The big lens now resides in the AWSM collection.
