A "day-for-night" shot. Typical of such shots, the sun is behind the actors. The arc lamp provides enough illumination to bring out highlights while the camera underexposes the film. Later, in the lab, color filtration is added to provide a bluish cast that we accept as moonlight. The camera in use is Number 1, which could accommodate the smaller interchangeable lenses.
