The barn dance sequence was shot on a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer soundstage. After the detail and depth of the earlier outdoor location scenes, the lack of realism in this set is a bit jarring, in the Curator's opinion. Director Zinneman entertains two guests, one possibly being choreographer Agnes DeMille, seated on the camera crane. By the time this photo was taken, more Todd-AO cameras were available and pictured here is camera 4.
