Trade Ad For Bausch & Lomb Optical Company

A rather routine looking trade ad with an ironic twist. This is one of several ads that are identical with the exception that How To Marry A Millionaire or Beneath The 12-Mile Reef were used in the screen illustration instead of The Robe. So what's ironic? These first three CinemaScope productions were filmed with original Chrètien lenses made circa 1927.
