"AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS"

Cinemascope Frequency Test Film For
Theatre Reproducing Systems Alignment

This test reel is used to adjust the screen speaker circuits (5) for the proper signal level distribution and to align the Perspecta Sound Integrator unit used for the surround speaker circuits (3), (See attached drawing MGM ES-450 and Fairchild Integrator Drawing G - 21407).
(also see filter drawing supplement to ES450)

The test reel signals are as follows:

(1) Sound track #2 0/70 ft - 1000 cycles 6db below 100 signal (50% modulation)

(2) Sound track #1 80/150 ft - 800 cycles 50% modulation

(3) Sound track #3 160/230 ft - 1200 cycles 50% modulation

Sound Track #4

(1) 0/50 ft - 1000 cycles, 50% modulation

(2) 60/110 ft - 800 cycles, 50% modulation with 30 cycles 14 dB - below 800 cycles or 10% modulation

(3) 120/170 at - 1000 cycles, 50% modulation with 35 cycles, 10% modulation

(4) 180/230 ft - 1200 cycles, 50% modulation with 40 cycles, 10% modulation

NOTE: The test reel has signals on tracks 1-2-3 when signals are on track 4. It may be desirable to turn the fader down on tracks 1-2-3 during the 4th track alignment.
